Lona Lawson

Now celebrating her 25th year in the industry, Lona Lawson has built a career rooted in creativity, versatility, and a true passion for her craft. As the founder of The Living Room Salon, she brings her signature blend of technical skill and personal connection to every appointment—creating customized, flattering styles that leave clients feeling confident and cared for.

Lona’s journey began in Southern California, where she trained at Coba Academy and went on to assist for three years at the award-winning Salon Gregories—named Best Salon in North America and a NAHA winner. There, she developed her expertise in advanced cutting, coloring, and extensions, and was introduced to the Davines product line she still proudly uses today.

Dedicated to staying ahead of the curve, Lona has studied across the globe—from the Davines Institute in California, Chicago, New York, Miami, Dallas, and Italy, to advanced cutting courses at Vidal Sassoon in London. She credits this wide-ranging education as key to her success, allowing her to deliver precision and artistry with every client she sees.

Known for her warm energy, methodical eye, and commitment to an exceptional client experience, Lona creates styles that are not just beautiful—but thoughtfully tailored to each individual.

When she’s not in the salon, you’ll find her skiing, biking, or enjoying life with her husband, Tuffy Lawson, and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Brinks.
